Garrett Lee Canipe, Sr

Garrett "Gary" Lee Canipe Sr, 76, of Bessemer City, NC passed away August 26, 2023 at Highland Heights Health & Rehab in Gastonia. Gary was born February 22, 1947 in Stanley County, NC to the late Foy Lee Canipe and Blanch Burr Canipe. He was a US Navy serving in Vietnam. Gary loved to vacation with his family in Myrtle Beach. SC. He enjoyed cooking and really loved eating what he cooked. He was good at tinkering on most anything and enjoyed carpentry. He also loved to fish. Gary was survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Donna Canipe. Children; Garrett Lee Canipe Jr, Dwight Lincoln Canipe, Christopher Lawrence Canipe and Stepdaughter; Dawn Michealle Morgan. Grandchildren Davon, Dillon, Ross and also 2 Great-grandchildren. Services will be private by the family.
