Gail Lucy Schaffer

Gail Lucy Schaffer, 64, of Mt. Holly, NC passed away January 11, 2018 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia, NC.  Mrs. Schaffer was born in Newark, N.J. on February 8, 1953 to the late James and Florence Velasqueze.  She was also preceded in death by her brother, Anthony "Tony" Velasqueze; and sister, Maryann Hicks.  Gail enjoyed arts and crafts.  She also enjoyed browsing around flea markets.  She was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and also attended Calvary Baptist Church.

Gail is survived by her husband, Fritz Shaffer, Sr.; son, Fritz Shaffer, Jr.; sister, Rose Marie Brink; brother, Fred Luciano; 2 grandchildren, Angelo Fritz Schaffer Scheffer and Gino Schaffer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service to celebrate Gail's life will be held Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 120 Belmont-Mt. Holly Rd., Belmont, NC 28012 with Rev. Ronnie Roseboro officiating.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
