Franklin "Frankie" Blanton

Franklin "Frankie" Eugene Blanton, 50, of Gastonia, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021. He was born in Shelby on May 24, 1971, the son of the late Donald Eugene Blanton and Minnie Lee Foster. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joey Capps. Frankie loved watching NASCAR, especially his favorite driver, Kyle Busch. He was an avid Duke fan and also enjoyed fishing, frog gigging, and a good buffet. Above all, he loved and cherished his children and family.

Frankie is survived by his children, Stephanie Blanton, Noah Cameron Blanton, Taylor Jordan Brianna Blanton, Kyndall Grayce Blanton, and Natalie Kay Blanton; sisters, Lisa Ann Blanton, Linda Michele Capps, and Tina Arthurs; and grandchildren, Spencer Claire Blanton, and Addilynn Reece Blanton (on the way).

Services will be held privately by the family.
