Edward Allan McDuffee

Edward Allan McDuffee Jr., 71, of Mt. Holly, passed away on March 27, 2023, at Atrium Health in Lincolnton. Mr. McDuffee was born on July 2, 1951, in Nassau County, New York to the late Edward Allan McDuffee Sr. and the late Jean Sweeney McDuffee. Allan was a beloved father and grandfather whose motto in life was honesty. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching the news and sports like soccer, tennis, softball and so much more. Not only did he enjoy watching sports on television, but he also loved playing them as well. When he was younger, he was acknowledged as an Allstar at lacrosse. He especially enjoyed learning and studying astronomy and space.

Survivors include children, Anthony Charles McDuffee and wife Megan, Christopher Allan McDuffee and wife Keri, Michael Edward McDuffee and wife Nicole, and Andraya Bryann Walker and wife Haley; nine grandchildren, Alexandra, Arianna, Abrielle, Alexis, Shane, Lilly, Joshua, Brandon, and Sean; nieces and nephews, Tina, Joey and David; sister, Linda Vidal; and ex-wife, Rosanne Gomes.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 from 12:00 pm-1:30 pm at Benson Funeral and Cremation Services at 101 Oak Grove St, Mt Holly, NC 28120. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Mark Costner, with military honors will follow in the chapel at 1:45 pm.
