Edith May Sherrill

Edith May Sherrill, 85, of Belmont, passed away July 6, 2015 at her residence. Mrs. Sherrill was born June 9, 1930 in Gaston County to the late Ralph and Bessie Huffsteadler Penley. She was a past Textile worker and a homemaker. Edith enjoyed small woodworking but her love was to read. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her loving husband of 70 years, David Sherrill. Sons, Ralph "Buck" Sherrill and Johnny Sherrill. Grandchildren, Pam, Kelly, Mandy and Johnny and great grandchildren, Kayleigh, Whitney and Dillon.

Private graveside services will be held by the family at Goshen Cemetery in Belmont.
