Dorothy Martin

Dorothy Perry Martin, 92, of Gastonia passed away January 18, 2018 at Gastonia Care and Rehab.  Mrs. Martin was born in Gaston County on November 10, 1925 to the late Oto Perry and Ginny Akers Perry.  She was also preceded in death by her brothers, James Perry and Jack Perry; brother in law, Wilmer Martin; and sisters in law, Francis Sims, Barbara McCroskey, and Dorothy Mayhue.  Dorothy was a member at Temple Baptist Church in Gastonia.  She loved to play the organ and piano and enjoyed painting pictures.

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband, James Thomas “J.T.” Martin and brothers and sisters in law, Herbert and Jane Martin and Hubert and Thelma Martin.
