Donna Renee James
February 24, 1953 — January 14, 2023
Donna Renee James, 69, of Belmont, passed away on January 14, 2023 at Caromont Regional. She was preceded in death by her parents, Talmage and Lucille Hollar Tyner; sister, Linda Kay Tyner; brother, Gary Tyner; and daughter, Michelle Propst Peterson.
Renee is survived by her husband of 36 years, David James; son, David Propst (Lisa); stepdaughters, Joanie Gregory (Andy) and Brandi James; grandsons, Michael, David, and Justin Propst, Caleb Barnes, Jacob, Jackson, Easton Scism, Elias Gillespie; granddaughters, Bre-Ann Brame (Greg), Chloe Gregory; sister, Melissa Laws (Jimmy); nephews, John and Michael Laws (Audrey), Bradley Tyner (Capri); sister-in-law, Betty Tyner; and two very spoiled and beloved fur babies.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 2:00 p.m at Benson Funeral and Cremation Services at 101 Oak Grove St, Mt.Holly, NC 28120 with Pastor Doug James officiating. A visitation for friends and family will be held 30 minutes prior from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Evergreen cemetery – A quiet place at 1462 Armstrong Ford Rd, Cramerton, NC 28012.
