Janet and Family, Dewey was the Sweetest and kindest man that I have ever known! My Mom ( Martha Hollis Thomason ) loved him so very much. One of my fondest memories of him was when I was a little girl sitting on the front porch on 7th Street with Mammie, she would sit there on the swing and watch for him to come walking down the road in his uniform, he always came to see her when he came home on leave. She would always tuck a dollar bill in his pocket. She loved all of her grandchildren, but he was most definitely her favorite! He was truly a very Special Man!!!
