It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Danielle Renee Dorn Cooper, who passed away on January 6, 2026, at her home. Born on March 21, 1978, in Dillon, South Carolina, Danielle was a beloved daughter to the late Marion Dorn Jr. and Deborah Brogdon Dorn. Her life was a vibrant tapestry woven from the threads of family, passion, and unwavering love.

Danielle was cherished as a devoted wife to her husband, Jody Cherry, whom she shared 15 wonderful years with. Together, they nurtured a warm and loving household filled with laughter and support. She was a proud and loving mother to Brawle Cherry, Emily Cooper, and Zachary Cooper, and their lives were enriched by the light she brought into their world. Her granddaughters, Maylin and Riley, held a special place in her heart, and they will carry her spirit forward as they grow.

Sisters Libby Walters (Shawn) and Kelly Atkinson (Brad) stood beside her, creating a bond of sisterhood that was both resilient and tender. Danielle also embraced her half-sister, Tiffany Hutto (Lance), and half-brother, Lee Hardee (Ashley), as part of her extended family and also a sister-in-law, April Jenkins (Jamey).  Additionally, she took immense joy in being an aunt to six nephews, whose lives were touched by her kindness and affection.

Danielle found great solace and joy in nature, whether she was in the mountains or basking in the sun at the beach. An ardent fan of the UNC Tarheels, she was passionate about supporting her team, her enthusiasm a testament to her spirited nature. The simple joys of life were not lost on her; she found delight in raising chickens, assembling intricate puzzles, and crafting beautiful Diamond Art. Her beloved German Shepherd dog, Keena, was a constant companion, embodying the love and loyalty Danielle extended to all around her.

In every endeavor, Danielle was deeply invested in the lives of her children. She was their loudest cheerleader at her son's sports events, basking in the pride of his achievements. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering support will forever be etched in their hearts.

As we remember Danielle, we cherish her light that shone so brightly in our lives. Her legacy of love, joy, and family will continue to resonate through the stories we share and the memories we hold dear. Although she has left this earthly realm, the essence of Danielle will remain with us, reminding us to embrace life fully and to love fiercely.

Rest in peace, dear Danielle. You are eternally in our hearts.
