Daniel A. Pietrucha, affectionately known as "Dan," passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026, at Atrium Health in Charlotte, NC. Born on August 27, 1952, in Chicago, Illinois, Dan lived a life marked by dedication to his family, a strong work ethic, and a passion for his many hobbies.

Dan was a skilled welder, bringing craftsmanship and precision to his work. Outside of his professional life, he found great joy in woodworking, creating with his hands what many came to admire. He also enjoyed recreational activities such as bowling and golf, pursuits that brought him relaxation and camaraderie throughout his life.

One of Dan’s most cherished pastimes was spending quality time with his grandson Zachery. He especially treasured watching Zachery play soccer, moments filled with pride and joy that spoke volumes about the bond they shared.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Deborah Boskelly Pietrucha, whose partnership and love were central to his life. Together they raised their daughter, Tracy Lynn Bowlin (Lee), who along with Zachery carry forward the family’s legacy. Dan’s surviving siblings include his sister Virginia Chmielecki (the late Constantine) and brothers Leslie Pietrucha (Susan) and Patrick Pietrucha (Diana), who, along with nieces, nephews, and cousins, remain pillars of support and remembrance.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley and Antoinette Pietrucha, as well as his brother Stan Pietrucha (Joan), and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Their memories live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Dan’s life was one of meaningful connections, skilled craftsmanship, and athletic enjoyment. He leaves behind a loving family and a community of friends who will remember him with deep respect and fondness. His legacy is one of warmth, skill, and devotion—a life well-lived.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to The American Cancer Society in Dan's name would be greatly appreciated.

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
