Connie Estella Pierce

July 4, 1933 — January 28, 2024

Belmont

Connie Estella Pierce, 90, passed away on January 28, 2024 at her residence.  She was born on July 4, 1933 in Hot Springs, South Dakota to the late Claude and Devida Greeley.  She is also preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Wesley Pierce; sister, Darlene Ispas; brother, Claude Greely Jr., and her stepsons, Chris and Albert Pierce.

Connie was an amazing woman, full of love for everyone that was blessed to be in her life.  Connie's biggest legacy will be the love she had for her children, a love that taught them the true meaning of unconditional love, a love never to be questioned or doubted.  As a child that grew up during the Great Depression, she learned at an early age that if she wanted something in life, she would have to figure out how to make it, and that she did.  Connie's talents were many including sewing, painting, decorating cakes, and interior decorating of homes.  The list was endless and it was all self-taught.  There was nothing that she put her mind to that she could not do.

Survivors include her sons, Doug and Mitch Hammer and her daughter, Joy Bernicker; her sisters, Donna Shores, Gigi Troutman, and Cheryl Lambert along with nieces and nephews, Rhonda Troy, Mark Shores, Jody Ispas, Kenny Ispas, Craig Ispas, Jason Canaday, Amy Trask, and Eric McDaniel. She also has 3 other stepchildren, Dawn Kraisinger, and Mark and Kelly Pierce. Connie has 6 grandchildren, Kurtis Nigro, Kyle and Bridget Hammer, Jeremy Lopez, Trina and Kimberli; 10 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.
