Cody Clarke, 13, of Gastonia, died suddenly on June 6, 2018 as a result of a Cerebral AVM. He was born December 22, 2004 in Charlotte, the son of Aaron and Michele (Bupp) Clarke. He attended Southwest Middle School, where he was a member of Beta Club, the Robotics Team and played the trumpet in school band.
Cody is survived by his parents Aaron and Michele Clarke and his brother Zachary. He also leaves his paternal grandparents, Jack and Karen Clarke, of Vestal, NY; his maternal grandfather and wife, James and Jeannette Bupp of Canandaigua, NY and his maternal grandmother in heaven, Dianna Bupp. He is also survived by uncles, aunts and cousins who love him and many loving friends!
Cody gave the gift of life to others through donation of his organs. This generous gift of life today will impact the lives of many.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Benson Funeral & Cremation Services. Calling hours will be Sunday from 1 pm - 3 pm with the funeral ceremony immediately following at 3 pm at Bethlehem Church, 3100 Bethlehem Church Rd., Gastonia, NC 28056. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Belmont. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making donations to High Five Sports of Bethlehem Church.
