Brenda Jean Mauney Buckner

Brenda Jean Mauney Buckner, of Belmont, went home to the Lord on December 6, 2025, at the age of 63. Born in Charlotte, NC, she was the daughter of the late Mary Ellen Carpenter Mauney and Abram Zeb Mauney.

Along with her parents, Brenda is preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry Dale Buckner, Sr. and an older brother. Brenda is survived by two brothers, Anthony Michael Sisk and John Sisk; along with her three children, Larry Dell Buckner, Jr., Abraham Zay Buckner (Angela Buckner), and Stacy Caprice Reppo (Joshua Reppo); along with many other bonus kids; grandchildren, Ashleigh Mariah Beckner, Alexander James Bolch, Kya Nicole Reppo, Jonathan Tony Buckner, David Scott Buckner, Billy Dell Buckner; and great graddaughters, Bella Rose Vaughn and Victoria Paige Bolch. She also had many nieces, nephews, and cousins that she cherished.

Brenda will be missed by all who knew her. Gifted in so many ways, she made everything she touched more beautiful. Brenda had a strong faith and was a member of Taylor Memorial Baptist Church in Gastonia, NC. She loved her family and her many wonderful friends and never met a stranger. Brenda’s big heart and loving spirit shone through in everything she did. She loved helping others and served with genuine kindness.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation held from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. at Belmont Foursquare Church, 8 Elizabeth St, Belmont, NC 28012 officiated by Pastor Kevin Ford.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Belmont Foursquare Church or to Taylor Memorial Baptist Church, 2616 Davis Park Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.
