Betty Janette Boyles

Betty Janette Boyles, 78, of Stanley passed away May 24, 2022.  She was born on April 16, 1944 to the late Robert and Janette Freeman Boyles.  She is also preceded in death by her brother, Larry Boyles; sister, Sandra Spencer; daughter, Tina Palmer; granddaughter, Mary McWaters; and great granddaughter, Kayleigh Forbis.  Betty loved to sit on her porch watching and listening to the birds, going fishing, and loved her animals.  She had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening.   She also enjoyed working a crossword puzzle and visiting the beach or the mountains.

Survivors include lifelong soulmate and companion of 32 years, Wayne Griswold; daughters, Belinda Faye Horne and husband David, Gale Palmer Monteith and husband Ron, and Katherine Palmer Keziah and husband Stacy; brother, James "Jimmy" Hazelwood; 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 2727 Mt. Holly- Huntersville Rd., Charlotte, NC with Rev. Tony Harper officiating.
