Bessie Denise Jones

June 9, 1976 — October 27, 2024

Gastonia, NC

Bessie Denise Jones, 48, of Gastonia, NC passed away October 27, 2024 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. She was born on June 9, 1976, to James Wiley Hicks and Evelyn Green.

Denise was a mother who always gave every bit of herself away in efforts to show her love. She had a great passion for art and tried her hand a few times at making some herself, passing this same passion onto her youngest son Tyler Austin Jones. Denise had a tenacity, resilience, and wit about her that granted strength allowing her to persevere through so much in life.

Denise loved to sing good old fashioned southern gospel hymns and loved God greatly knowing he is our “Rock”.

Survivors include her husband, Jack Hardy Jones; her parents, James Hicks and Evelyn Steen (John); sons, Jack Hardy Jones II (Anna) and Tyler Austin Jones; sister Tonya Jones (Michael); brother, Eric Hicks (Dana); and her grandsons, Jack III, Caleb, Noah, and Gideon.

Bessie Denise Jones may be gone from this earth but her family rests in the comfort, knowing they will see her again.
