Benjamin "Sunshine" Franklin Hilton

Benjamin F. “Sunshine” Hilton, 62, of Dallas, NC passed away on April 1, 2017 at the Brian Center in Gastonia. Mr. Hilton, known as “Sunshine” to many was born September 13, 1954 in Charlotte to the late Samuel Emory Hilton and Marie Richardson Hilton. He is also preceded in death by his brother Samuel Hilton. He was an auto mechanic by trade and worked many years at Coffey’s Body Shop. He loved motorcycles and racing and built race cars for both dirt track and drag racing. He loved line dancing and riding horses. Survivors include his Children, Maria Postell and husband Wayne and Karen Jacobs and husband Matt; three grandchildren, Cassandra, Mallory and Katelynn; Sister,  Debra Hilton; and a niece Bridget Benton. Memorial Services to Celebrate Mr. Hilton’s life will be at 2:00 PM Saturday April 8 at Benson Funeral & Cremation Services in Mt. Holly. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers please make memorials to Hospice of Gaston County, PO Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054.
