Audrey Sue Heath Bentley

Audrey Sue Heath Bentley, born on December 2, 1943, in Mecklenburg County, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2026, at CaroMont Health, Gastonia, following a period of declining health.

Throughout her life, she was a very loving person, and she spent her life dedicated to doing Gods work. Audrey will be remembered for taking care of her family and her love of sewing and her morning coffee.

She leaves behind her son: Adam Kirby, grandchildren: Destiney Kirby, Xaviar Kirby, Candice Kirby, Harley Kirby and one great-grandchild Rihanna Atkins. Also surviving are her siblings Betty Booth, Phyllis Heath, Sylvia Heath, Jimmy Heath, Sandra Huggins, Muriel Rhorick, and Linda Stamps.

Audrey is preceded in death by her parents, her husband John Douglas Bentley, one son Jeff Williams and her siblings Wade Morgan, Harvey Heath, Christine Williamson and Mary Jane Morrow.

A funeral service to celebrate Audreys life will be held on Sunday April 26, 2026, at 3:00 PM at Benson Funeral & Cremation, located at 101 Oak Grove St., Mt. Holly, NC with the Rev William "Will" Breast officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at 2:00 PM. Burial will take place on Tuesday April 28, 2026, at 12:30PM at the Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC.
