Auby Hipp Brinson, 65, of Charlotte passed away May 11, 2023 at his residence with his family by his side.  He was born in Waco, Tx on September 28, 1957 to the late Loren Wadley Brinson and Mary Virginia Story.  In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother, Loren W. Brinson III (Pee-Wee) and sister, Joyce A. Brinson.  Hipp led a relaxing life, always joking with others.  He always fought for his family and never gave up.  Hipp will be remembered as a loving and caring man.  He was an avid collector with interests such as old coins, guns and other artillery, vintage items, and lived the hardcore jeep life.  He never gave up and fought the good fight until the Lord called him to come back home.

Survivors include his sons, Hipp Auby Brinson, Jr. and wife Shannon and Loren Bobby Brinson and wife Allison; grandsons, Johnathan Post and wife Marissa, Christopher Brinson, Nathan Brinson, and Colt Brinson; granddaugther, Trinity Kanipe; great grandson, Liam; great granddaughter, Harper; and brother, James A. Brinson of Manchester, Georgia.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury with Rev. Gary Berry officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or Wounded Warriors Project.
