Ann Eldine Ashe, 78, of Belmont, passed away on June 13, 2025, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Belmont, North Carolina. Born on March 6, 1947, in Acadia Parrish, Louisiana, Ann was the daughter of Eddie and Jewell Lavergne Landry. Throughout her life, she cultivated a profound appreciation for family, which became the cornerstone of her existence.
Ann was an adoring mother to her son, Robert Ashe, and her daughter, Cynthia Ashe. She took great pride in her role as a grandmother to Kristin, Nicholas, Wesley, Autumn, and Brittney, as well as four great-grandchildren, with whom she cherished every moment. Ann's dedication to family was evident in the way she nurtured her loved ones, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to their happiness and well-being.
Beyond her familial devotion, Ann possessed a vibrant personality marked by a variety of interests. She had a passion for shopping and a talent for sewing, creatively expressing herself through her hands. Ann also relished the joy of spending time at the beach, where she found solace in the sun and surf, connecting with nature and creating lasting memories.
She is remembered fondly for her proudest accomplishments, which always revolved around her cherished family. Her legacy will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of those she loved and in the stories they share.
In addition to her parents, Ann is also preceded in death by her husband, Wesley C. Ashe, who passed away on October 17, 2023; her brother, Gerald Landry; and her sister, Macklyn Landry.
A graveside service is scheduled to honor her life on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont, North Carolina where she will be interred with her husband of 57 years, Wesley C. Ashe. Friends and family are invited to gather at 1:00 PM to pay their respects.
Ann Eldine Ashe's love for her family and her joyful spirit will be deeply missed, yet her memory will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Alzheimer's Association.
