Andrew LeGrande Lopez, born February 1, 1958, passed away March 20, 2022 at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

He is survived by his daughters, Brandi Downer, Candice Lopez and Brittany Lopez; mother, Frankie Lopez; sister, Debra Grooms; and brothers, David Lopez, Kevin Lopez, & Joey Lopez.

He greatly enjoyed the outdoors. Andrew will be fondly remembered as a loving father, son & coach to many in Gaston County.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2022 from 6:30pm-8:30pm at Benson Funeral Funeral & Cremation Services, Mt. Holly.

I loved every memory I ever had with you and your family. I am Andy's cousin. Your family was the closest cousin memories of childhood I had. I stayed with y'all every weekend. My heart is so heavy. I love you and the memories I will carry with me forever.

Andrew was such a blessing to so many. He was such a great coach. He always made each girl on the team feel important and always went above and beyond when it came to celebrating a win. His kindness lives on in all the girls he coached. Praying 🙏 for you guys and the entire family.
