Alvin William Daniel

Alvin William Daniel, 77, of Gastonia passed away June 15, 2019 at CaroMont Regional Hospital. Mr. Daniels was born in High Shoals in Gaston County, NC on Sept. 26, 1941 to the late Alvin Charles Daniel and Ruby Mathis Daniel. He was also preceded in death by a brother Clifford Curtis Daniel and sister Marie Helen Daniel Brady. Alvin was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for the past 52 years. He was an avid deer hunter and also collected arrowheads. He was an oil painter and was a huge fan of Bob Ross’s paintings. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Gail Leaphart Daniel. His daughter Starlene Daniel Reardon and husband James. Sister Shirley Pace and husband Earl.  Grandchildren Kendyl, Katherine and Christopher and great grandchildren Izack and Maddie. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday June 19 at 11 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2710 Redbud Dr, Gastonia with Bishop Neal Dawson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at Gaston Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made at https://www.Idsphilanthropies.org/in-memoriam.
