Allen W. Edwards, 74, of Kings Mountain, passed away July 14, 2016 at Gastonia Care & Rehab. Mr. Edwards was born on May 21, 1942 in Gaston County and was preceded in death by his stepfather Thomas Sherrill and mother Margie Edwards Sherrill. Mr. Edwards loved fishing and when he wasn’t fishing he was golfing. He was also a talented musician including singing and playing instruments.
Survivors include his wife Jean Edwards. Children, Michelle Carpenter and Lisa Faulkenberry. Grandson, Brantley Faulkenberry and a sister Diane Harris of Mt. Holly.
Services are being handled privately by the family at a later date.
