Lauren Collins

Lauren Elizabeth Collins, 49, of Charlotte, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at Carolina's Medical Center, Charlotte. She was born in Wilmington, NC on November 29, 1971, the daughter of the late Lonia Rebecca Clark. Lauren loved the beach and was employed with the city of Charlotte, where she was very dedicated to her job. She fought a long and hard battle against cancer. Above all, she loved her children and grandchildren.

Lauren is survived by her children, Tara Helms (Raphael Kynard), Taylor Helms (Cody Bosworth), Nicholas Collins, and Patrick Collins; grandchildren, David Christopher Helms II, Jaxson Kynard, Elaina Kynard, Nash Kynard, and Wyatt Cook.

Sorry to hear of the loss of your loved one. Lauren was a very sweet, kind person that always had a smile on her face. She was always friendly to me on the phone or in person when I would go to the Sweden Road Equipment shop. She will be greatly missed! RIP Lauren and fly high sweetie!!!

Lauren was a great Happy person with a good soul. We would talk everyime that I would visit the shop. There's not a lot of women that works in the field for CDOT, so we became close. She got to meet my daughter and granddaughters. Lauren your truly be missed, and God gotten another angel on his staff. Rest in Heaven my friend
