John "Jack" Robert Braun
Jack lost his 10 year battle with melanoma on Monday, October 14, 2019. Jack is survived by his loving wife, Traci (Bradley), and their precious daughter, Addison.
Jack is also survived by his sister, Tammy Kemerer (Alan), his brother, Ernest C. Novak, Jr., and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Diane Carol Novak (Saar), his father, John Frederick Braun, and his step-father, Ernest Charles Novak.
Jack was born and raised near Pittsburgh, and was a lifelong fan of the Steelers and everything else Pittsburgh. Jack and Traci married in 2000 and found their way to Charlotte several years later, where he fulfilled his dream of running his own home improvement business. They created life long memories with friends and family, sharing their favorite activities, be it camping, boating, attending concerts or simply playing cards. His greatest joy came in 2008 when his daughter Addison was born. Addison and Jack shared an amazing bond, and no one loved him more or laughed at his jokes louder than she. Jack was well known for sharing his favorite moments with Addison, including funny conversations only had with your child. Jack loved a good joke but was best known as a master of joke telling.
Jack was a proud, honorable American, never letting anyone down. He was a man of his word, fulfilling every promise and obligation he made, a true United States Marine. Jack proved his strength and determination each day with his fight against Melanoma, and did so with honor and dignity, even when suffering from debilitating side effects.
Please join Traci and Addison for the visitation and memorial service on Sunday, October 20, 2019, at 2:00 pm at Benson Funeral & Cremation Services, Mt. Holly, NC. Immediately following, the family invites you to the Mt. Isle Harbor Clubhouse for food and drinks, where we can all share funny stories and memories of Jack. Semper Fi!
