Kathy E. Huffstickler, 66, of Dallas passed away April 15, 2017 at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas. Kathy was born in Gaston County on July 9, 1950 to Roberta Nicholson Huffstickler and the late Ralph Wilson Huffstickler. She is also preceded in death by her partner in life Tommy Leming and brothers Allen and Gary Huffstickler. Kathy loved the beach and especially riding on the back of Harley Davidson motorcycles. Her most joy was having cookouts with her family and friends. In addition to her mother survivors include her sons, Derek Hovis (Sharon) of Gastonia and Dennis Hovis of Bessemer City and also a niece which she raised as her daughter Dana Bass of Belmont; Grandchildren, Taylor Hovis, Joshua Hayner, Ashley Bunnell, Casey Hill, Kandi Christianbury, Alora Bass; and a great grandchild, McKenzie Bunnell. Memorial Services to Celebrate Kathy’s life will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, April 20, 2017 at the First Methodist Church of Dallas with Rev. Carol Flack officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior. Inurnment will be private.
